The U.S. Armed Forces Memorial – Coming Soon
The University of Tennessee, Knoxville Military Memorial enshrines the names of the University of Tennessee students, faculty, and staff who died in the line of duty while in military service to the United States from World War I to the present, whether involved in direct combat, military operations or training, or as the result of domestic or international acts of terror.
The Center for the Study of War & Society is currently conducting research for this memorial, which includes the memorial’s names and their individual stories which will be featured on our website. The physical memorial will be placed on the campus pedestrian walkway and feature all UT staff and alumni who gave their lives while in military service from World War I to the present. The website portion of this project is currently under construction with some biographies currently available and more being added as the project progresses in 2021.
Please contact us at email@example.com for more information about this upcoming memorial or if you have any information regarding those whose sacrifice we wish to honor with this project.
