Our undergraduate interns have the unique opportunity each semester to work at the Center for the Study of War and Society on our Oral History project. The interns not only participate in the project through transcription, but are able to get to know the veterans, interview them, and engage with the story veterans have to tell. Our interns have also engaged with veterans in various other ways while at the Center through attending the East Tennessee Military Affairs Council (ETMAC) Veteran’s Day Luncheon, AfterWars Research Seminars, and researching for the US Armed Forces Memorial.
